CJA Edged Art Waterstone – Variable 1500-6000+ Grit

The (in)famous CJA Edged Art / Scorpion Forge waterstone.

Perfect for kitchen cutlery, razors, or tool sharpening…the grit of these stones is completely dependent on pressure, with the ‘coarse’ side giving approximately 1500-3000 grit results, and the ‘fine’ side giving 3000-6000 grit or better (compared scratch patterns have shown as high as 10000 grit, using dish soap and water with knife weight pressure). The feel when you’re on the bevel is buttery smooth, almost sticky. Like pulling the knife through thinned maple syrup. It’s in the top tier of my personal favorite water stones…and they’re all pretty much equal to me. Jade, Ancient Ocean Jasper, Apache Strata/Red/Black Gila, and this…are the only stones I use, switching out depending on individual case needs.

I cut these stones from slabs I purchased from a source in Ukraine. They have been unavailable for quite some time. These stones for sale now are back stock I found in a box in my shop. I don’t know if they’ll ever be available again.
